Summer Solstice Yin Yoga
Saturday 17th June 2017 – 3 – 5.30pm – BOOKINGS now open

The June solstice is the longest day of the year, falling on the 21st. It also marks the official start of summer.

In Yin philosophy of wellbeing, Summer is connected with the energy lines, or ‘meridians’, that run through and into the Heart and Intestine. When these energy lines are in balance, and our natural flow of inner consciousness (or Chi or Prana) is allowed to flow freely, the fire and heat of the season will fuel our mind body and spirit in positive ways, rather than leading to depletion, disappointment or overwhelm which is what happens when these energy lines are out of balance.

This 2.5 hour extended session will focus on the heart and intestine energy lines. It falls on the cusp of the Summer Equinox so it’s a perfect time to optimise energy through the slow, deep practice of Yin yoga.
