The Winter Solstice marks the longest night and shortest day of the year, in the northern hemisphere. It has long been seen as an auspicious time of the year.
To mark this year’s, 2020, Winter Solstice (which falls on the 21st December), come join for an evening of live guided meditations.
This 1hour event programme is as follows:
6.30pm – arrive, settling, introductions
6.35pm – first guided mindfulness based meditation; to relax into and feel comfortable in the Winter Darkness
7pm – release and sharing; preparing for second meditation
7.05pm – lighting our candles in each of our spaces; candelight guided meditation
7.25pm – silence and reflection
7.30pm – closing and gratitude
All welcome to join, including beginners to meditation and experienced meditators.
NOTES for this event:
Set up a comfortable space, a blanket/wrap. You can be seated or lying down.
Have a tealight or candle, and lighter/matches, and safe place to light to when it comes to the candlelight meditation.
Have your video on, and microphone off.
Video on is required for: your full attention and presence; to illuminate the feeling of a meditation gathering, especially when we come to the candelight meditation.
Upon booking, you will receive the Zoom link for the event. (Ensure you have access to Zoom and eventbrite.com prior to the event).
If you lose connection, try leaving the meeting and rejoining.(I will do the same).
Friends and family members are welcome to join you. If possible, please purchase a ticket per person attending, thank you. The event has been priced reasonably to ensure wide access.
