Yin Yoga focuses on gentle yet deep release on the physical plane, while relaxing the mind and balancing the emotions. All yoga should be relaxing, but this is a particularly deeply profound practice.

It’s an ideal practice to compliment an already dynamic yoga practice, though it’s accessible to everyone – regardless of previous yoga experience. Great for those days when you are feeling restless, stressed or hyper. Poses are largely floor based and are held for anything from 3 to 8  minutes.

My Yin classes work to replenish the systems of the body and harmonize your energy. I also include meditative and philosophical components taken from the Classic Hatha tradition.

Restorative Yoga – Private Tuition

This form of yoga practice can substantially support and lift individuals experiencing short and long-term stress – and has the ability to quiet restless and anxiety-provoked minds as it allow’s the individual to connect to their body’s innate sense of calm.
Restorative Yoga with Divya private tuition

It has been proven to help in particular:
-low immunity
-symptoms of stress such as fatigue, poor digestion, over-active mind, recurring injury and colds
-grief-stricken states
-sleep disorders
-physical injuries through over-use in sports and in the workplace

As an advanced level teacher (which means I have acquired a set number of years of training and practice – in my case ongoing teacher training since 2001), with specific training in the practice and delivery of Restorative Yoga from Elders around the world,  I take great care and interest in the planning of restorative practices to suit the specific needs of the individual.

If considering private tuition, I would advise a minimum of 3 private sessions to feel and sense its effect. Six to 10 would be ideal.

The sessions can take place in your home (if convenient) or a neutral space can be hired.

In the first instance, drop me an email outlining your interest, potential needs and questions you have. Trust that all information shared will be held confidentially.
